Hello and welcome!
This short course will set you up nicely for an adventure with assessing your project’s impact.
In the next few ‘lessons’, you will consider why you want to do MEL, the current status of MEL within your project, the resources available for MEL, who should be involved, and how your MEL plan should link to the aims and objectives of your project. Then we will signpost you to some other courses, and ask for your feedback.
Let’s get organised
As you work through the courses and resources on Permaculture Impact, you will be asked to complete activities which will contribute towards your project’s MEL plan. We strongly suggest that you complete the activities as you go along.
Write it down!
We highly recommend that you have a dedicated notebook or digital ‘journal’ document as a place to keep the work you do during the activities.
A folder: digital, cardboard or both?
Some of our activities will ask you to make notes or create documents of your own, others will ask you complete our worksheets or tables. You may want to have both a digital folder and a real folder.
In any case, you will build up a body of work which you don’t want to lose!
Activity: Set up your MEL folders, and start a digital document or find a paper notebook for this work.
