This course teaches you how to use Kumu, a free online digital mapping tool. It can be taken as part of the Change Pathways Mapping series or as a stand-alone course.
Kumu is a powerful online digital tool for mapping systems, networks, relationships and more. It is quick and easy to use once you’ve got the hang of it. The maps that you create are smart, dynamic and interactive. It is easy to collaborate with other people to develop your maps, and easy to share the maps that you create with others.
This course will introduce you to Kumu, then step you through setting up your own Kumu account, the basics of building a map with Kumu, and some tips and tricks to improve your maps. It also covers how to back up your map (just in case!), and where to find additional support if you need it.
Once you have completed this course, you will be ready to create your own Change Pathways Map using Kumu. The third course in this series, Do: Change Pathways Mapping, walks you through that step by step.
